Sazae-san is the world’s longest-running animated series, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The show debuted in 1969 and has since aired over 2500 episodes. Notably, the anime series is still in production, with new episodes airing on Fuji TV every week.

They do, however, hold the record for the most episodes, with some of them being Doraemon (700+), Shin-chan (1122), and Perman (526).
