The anime Kengan Ashura will return for a season 2 as a Netflix original series. The first season, which is divided into two courses with a total of 24 episodes, is currently streaming on the platform.
The announcement for Kengan Ashura Season 2 did not include a new illustration, but instead used the same one as the first season:
The anime is based on the manga Kegan Ashura, which was created by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon. The manga was published in Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday magazine from 2012 to 2018. In 2019, the same author/artist duo began work on a sequel, Kengan Omega.
In 2019, LARX Entertainment’s anime adaption debuted on Netflix. Seiji Kishi directed it, and Kazuaki Morita designed the characters. Makoto Uezu was in charge of series creation. The soundtrack was written by Yasuharu Takanashi. Season 1’s official trailer is shown below:
Netflix describes the plot as:
Underground gladiator Tokita Ohma fights on behalf of business mogul Nogi Hideki, who wagers mega-business deals on the outcomes of the brutal matches.
